When I created the Pretty Sidebar Categories plugin, it was to solve a quick need for a client. I needed to be able to list posts in a given category with an image and a link in the sidebar. Of course, at the time I did not need anything fancy, and a few hours later the plugin was born. As of this writing, WordPress users have downloaded the plugin over 1,200 times – and I thank you for that.
Today, I needed to do the same thing with a site that uses a plugin to create a custom post type and a custom taxonomy. So I dusted off this not so very old plugin and made a few changes. Now, on the widget form you will be able to first select your taxonomy, then any term from that taxonomy. You can also show all posts from a given taxonomy.
As an added bonus, I spent some time today and translated the plugin to French and Spanish. I found a few language issues and fixed those too. So, what else do you need this plugin to do?
